Regular readers of Tatler may have spotted that Define Clinic is responsible for an exciting industry first. We are the UK’s first clinic to offer Potenza – a revolutionary new treatment from our favourite laser guys at CynoSure.
If you know anything about Define Clinic, you’ll know about our team’s collective passion for microneedling and radiofrequency (RF) based treatments. We couldn’t be more excited to share with you the potential of Potenza.
Potenza combines microneedling and RF treatments into a single package to deliver absolutely stunning results on the body and on the face. It’s fair to say, the skin rejuvenation game has officially been upped by Potenza.
Our very own Dr Benji Dhillon was so impressed with the results of Potenza, it’s now become an essential ingredient of a brand-new treatment for one of the overlooked areas of the body in all of aesthetics – the neck.
To better understand how Potenza works its magic, it’s probably worth first explaining a little about each of its constituent parts – microneedling and RF.
What is Radiofrequency?
Radiofrequency (RF) treatment is the process of stimulating a subdermal protein called collagen. Higher production of collagen produces higher quality skin.
Wrinkles or saggy skin can be improved by radiofrequency methods as it encourages your skin to develop more elastin – one of several vital ingredients which gives skin its natural bounce.
RF also reduces and tightens pores, killing off any bacteria that are potentially causing acne as well as helping reduce acne scars.
From treating loose skin to improving acne scarring, radiofrequency treatment is one of the most valued here at Define Clinic and across the industry.
What is Microneedling?
Microneedling, also known as collagen induction therapy, creates microscopic holes in the skin to falsely trick your body into thinking it’s wounded.
The body reacts to this stimulation by creating more collagen which gives skin a firmer, thicker structure.
Why would you want more collagen? As we age, our body produces less and less collagen. This makes way for our skin to become saggier and fine lines and wrinkles will start to appear.
But it isn’t just wrinkles and fine lines that microneedling can reduce. The appearance of stretch marks, blemishes and scars can also be diminished.
“Potenza is a gamechanger because it delivers results at both the superficial and deeper skin levels, helping to kickstart the body’s own collagen and elastin to smooth, restore and rejuvenate,’ Benji told Tatler magazine.
While microneedling stimulates and replenishes the skin on the surface with its unique collagen-boosting action, the radiofrequency element of Potenza penetrates below the skin surface.
The radiofrequency is delivered through the ultra-fine needles heating below the skin’s surface resulting in transformed, glowing skin.
Your skin will look restored, healthy and beautiful.
Potenza and Neck Rehab
To make the most of Potenza, Dr Benji has created the new Define Neck Rehab treatment to restore and revive this delicate area without surgery.
His new Define Neck Rehab treatment combines the power of Potenza alongside a replenishing cocktail of peptides and hyaluronic acid to smooth and hydrate the neck: “The addition of RF to the microneedling delivers deep heating and skin-tightening effects, which is why I’ve incorporated Potenza into my new Define Neck Rehab treatment to target areas of skin sagging, scarring and dullness,” Benji said.
“After a series of treatments, patients will see significant improvements in skin tone, texture and a reduction in the “necklace, so your neck will no longer give your age away!”
