Non-Surgical Rhinoplasty at Define Clinic in Beaconsfield, Buckinghamshire

PRESS & MEDIA -

New Nose, New Me!

The non-surgical nose job is soaring in popularity right now. It’s one of our most requested non-surgical procedures, loved by men and women alike. Below we discuss the ins and outs of this treatment and hopefully answer all of your burning questions.

How Does A Non-Surgical Rhinoplasty Work?
The procedure involves using body-safe hyaluronic acid (HA) fillers to resculpt and redefine the nose. HA is the same type of filler used for cheek, lip, chin and jaw augmentation. Filler can make hooked noses appear straight, can pinch and define bigger nose tips and give the end of the nose a little lift. Fillers can even smooth troublesome bumps.

Will Filler Not Make My Nose Bigger?
It may seem counter-intuitive to use filler to correct bumps or make the nose appear thinner. But if you go to the right person, someone who you can trust and who has the experience, the results can be incredibly beautiful. Injecting filler around the bump effectively smooths the nose’s contour to create a much cleaner line without adding significant volume.

So How Does A Non-Surgical Rhinoplasty Compare To A Surgical Rhinoplasty?
You’ll already have spotted that non-surgical nose jobs are a less drastic option. By getting rid of the surgical aspect, we can also improve on surgery’s associated cons such as comfort, treatment time, recovery time, clinical risk and more. Where surgical nose jobs require hours under the knife with extended recovery periods and time off work, their non-surgical counterparts take a matter of minutes, with less discomfort and no downtime.

What if I Hate My New Nose?

We have seen patients who have had treatment elsewhere and have been less than happy with their results. We can offer a treatment whereby the filler can be dissolved quickly and painlessly.

What Does A Non-Surgical Rhinoplasty Entail?
If you have ever had facial fillers, you’ll already be familiar with the procedure. The non-surgical rhinoplasty is no different, simply that we place the fillers in the nose. At Define Clinic, we use our favourite Teoxane filler brand. It’s delivered by a needle or cannula. The whole treatment takes around 5-10 minutes to complete and you can see the results straight away. Afterwards, you can go about your day as usual.

Does It Hurt?
The fillers we use at Define Clinic contain small amounts of anaesthetic to make treatment more comfortable. Patients often say that non-surgical rhinoplasties aren’t exactly comfortable – but they’re not painful either.

Safety And Side Effects
The HA fillers used for non-surgical rhinoplasty are body-safe. They’re biodegradable and break down naturally in the body for over a year or so. In particular, Teoxane fillers are backed by years of safe use. The non-surgical rhinoplasty is, generally speaking, a low-risk procedure. The most common side effects are mild bruising, redness or swelling around the injection site but these rarely last longer than a day or two. As a matter of course, Define patients are also made aware of other extremely rare side effects like allergies and tissue damage before getting underway with treatment.
