What Is PRP?
PRP stands for platelet-rich plasma, which consists of two elements – plasma (the liquid portion of blood) and platelets (the cells that circulate within our blood and bind together when they recognise damaged blood vessels). These two essential elements play a huge role in healing the body. They hold growth properties, as well as being able to trigger cell reproduction. Platelet-rich plasma contains more platelets than normal.

How Does The Treatment Work?
To create platelet-rich plasma, clinicians take a blood sample from the patient and put it into a device called a centrifuge which rapidly spins the sample and separates components in the blood from the platelets. The plasma is then extracted from the blood and injected back into the patient’s face using a mesotherapy technique. It is a short and painless treatment, usually taking around 20 minutes.
